Objective
AFF provides studies and discussions that feed into the OECD-MENA financial programme. It offers a neutral platform for policy-makers and decision-takers from the public and private sector to exchange views on the on key issues facing the development of Arab financial markets.

Programme
AFF achieves its objective by staging international conferences, commissioning and distributing discussion papers, regular briefings with financial commentators, and government advisors and think tanks and through monthly newsletters.
AFF provides a clearing house of ideas and experience by bringing together leading groups and individuals involved with these challenges to exchange views, disseminate and initiate research papers and identify best practice.
Organisation
AFF is chaired by Sir Gavyn Arthur (pictured), a former Lord Mayor of the City of London. Its Arab chair is HE Abdullah Bishara, ambassador at large for the Emir of Kuwait and former Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council. MEC provides the secretariat. AFF’s two executive directors are Ian Walker of MEC and Daniel Morler of LGT Capital Partners.
